A new era for Mansfield Tavern – a legendary suburban pub which has been serving the local community for decades, with a 50-year legacy in live music and entertainment. Yesterday, it re-opened its doors to its brand-new chapter after an extensive renovation, revealing a new modernised look in both beating hearts of the venue – the classic watering hole and the dedicated entertainment space – a place for everyone with a family-friendly feel, amplified sports offering and unrivalled entertainment program.
“We are thrilled to be welcoming our community back to their new-look local!” said Venue Manager Claire Maskill. “We’ve completely spruced up the pub and modernised it, it feels like a whole new chapter!”
An expansive light-filled Bistro for families and diners alike has been created in a newly transformed space. The inviting ambience is perfect for the honest, no-fuss pub fare. The menu serves up a balance of comfort food staples, fresh flavour-forward options and share plates, with weekly specials also available. The spaces floor to ceiling glass doors allows the Bistro to flow seamlessly to the family-friendly courtyard with refreshed landscaping and kids’ play area.
Meanwhile, on the adjacent side of the Bistro’s window-lined walls, customers will find the casual yet vibrant open-air Beer Garden. Featuring festoon lighting and casual seating, the soon to be summer hot-spot for gatherings and casual lunches leads directly into the venues new-look Sports Bar.
“Sports lovers will also not be disappointed!” continued Claire. “The Sports Bar has had a complete refresh, with all the upgrades you can think of, from new furniture, pool tables, and feature 6m wide LED screen wall for the ultimate viewing and more.” Ideal for casual drinks, the bar offers sports-lovers the ideal spot to catch all major sporting events live and loud.
A New Era For Mansfield Tavern
With a history dating back to the 1970’s, the pubs Rock Arena will enter a similar new chapter along with the rest of the pub. Now coined, The Arena, the space will continue to showcase live music legends alongside a new, and more dynamic offering for the entire community to enjoy. From local talent, international acts, comedians, family fun and live sports such as Muay Thai.
To showcase the brand-new look and as a taste of what’s to come, Mansfield Tavern will be hosting a Locals Welcome Weekend, 27th – 29th June. The jam-packed weekend will including live music, mouth-watering BBQ, meat raffles, live sports action, giveaways and free kids’ entertainment plus animal farm. The pubs loyalty app will also be offering double points on every order throughout the weekend.
Live performances have also been locked-in to showcase The Arena’s dynamic new lineup across the pubs initial opening weeks. Performances include:
