Horizon Nightclub Opens in Yeppoon – The Strand Hotel is excited to announce that its upstairs nightclub has re-opened, revealing a bigger and better night spot, now known as Horizon. And it is set to become Yeppoon’s premium spot to party.
The expanded space now boasts new decor and booths, bigger bars and all new AV including sound and lighting for the ultimate night out experience.
“We are so excited to relaunch Horizon to our locals and visitors,” said Venue Manager Connar Reid. “Following extensive renovations of the pub over the last two years, Horizon completes the venue and elevates the entertainment offering.
“Previously, upstairs was a popular spot to gather and party on the weekend, but it needed some TLC. We wanted to give our locals an even bigger and better nightclub that feels like new, with more booths, more lights and more fun!”

- Wednesdays, Backpackers Night at The Strand and Horizon, free entry
- DJ Karaoke, 7.30pm
- In-house specials at the pub, 8-10pm
- Free Aussie BBQ, 8.30pm
- Horizon opens at 8pm
- Fridays, RNB Fridays
- The best Hip Hop, RnB and old school beats will create the perfect soundtrack to kick off the weekend. Entry $10
- Saturdays from 8pm, Saturday Sessions
- Live DJs, big beats, late nights and nothing but good times. Entry $10
Locals and visitors will love the VIP Booth Packages! On Fridays and Saturdays, the VIP Booths will be where the real party kicks off. There’s premium service and zero waiting at the bar for groups of 8-15 to enjoy their own space and pop bottles in style, with three packages available.
For those hosting a birthday party, Horizon is the perfect spot with birthday packages to make them celebrate like a VIP.
