Dynamic, two-level Collingwood restaurant and bar Pincho Disco hosts Nikkei Nights later this month, on Thursday 28th May at 6.30pm.
For one night only, Colombian head chef Diego Cardenas will serve guests a four-course menu that blends Japanese technique and Latin American soul. An evening of precision, fire, restraint and vibrancy that honours tradition while pushing into new territory.
Few people recognise the similarities between Peruvian and Japanese cuisine, but there is a harmonious connection known as Nikkei, a culinary blend born from more than a century of Japanese immigration to Peru. Both traditions share a respect for fresh seafood, precision in preparation, umami flavour profiles and a natural balance between citrus, soy and heat.
To complement the meal and elevate the experience, diners will enjoy curated pairings of House of Suntory Japanese spirits reimagined through Latin American-inspired cocktails. A Suntory ambassador will guide guests throughout the evening.
