This summer, The Wharf Hotel is elevating dining to new heights, with their new air balloons on the Yarra. Their new air balloon dining pods offer a unique, themed dining experience, with impeccable views.
This experience is available until late summer, the pods provide a relaxed and private space suited to birthdays, catch-ups with friends, dates, or summer lunching. The pods combine playful design with a sense of adventure, while maintaining comfort and a personalised dining environment.
Guests can enjoy tasty à la carte dishes and refreshing drinks from The Wharf Hotel’s menu. Optional grazing boards are available, including charcuterie and vegetarian selections.
Air balloons on the Yarra
General Sessions
- Afternoon sessions (excl Sundays): 90 minutes – 12.30pm, 1pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm
- Evening sessions: 2 hours – 4.30pm, 5pm, 7pm, 7.30pm
- Pod capacity: up to 6 people (minimum 4 on Fridays and Saturdays, with a minimum spend of $50 per person on these days)
Family Sundays
Sundays offer a family-focused experience with children’s entertainment from 12pm–3pm including garden games and colouring activities. Plus, little ones get a party bag, exciting!
- Session duration: 90 minutes (11.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 2pm)
- Pod capacity: Up to six people (minimum spend $100 per balloon)
Waterfront Setting
Located on Siddeley Street, the Yarra River waterfront setting provides an amazing backdrop for a fun dining experience. The novelty of Australia’s first hot air balloon dining pods create a summer experience that is both unique and memorable.
