This epic event at The Wickham Hotel is not to be missed!
Big Gay Day 2022, proudly sponsored by Brisbane City Council, is this weekend! Brisbane’s biggest and best rainbow festival will be held at The Wickham Hotel on Sunday 1st May for its 22nd instalment!
The largest LGBTQIA+ street festival in the city is not to be missed with a fabulous line-up of pop stars, drag queens, musicians and DJs. It really is the ultimate rainbow celebration.
Headlines acts for 2022 are:
– Courtney Act; and
– Pop icon Vanessa Amorosi
Supported by an epic line up including:
– Faker
– DJ Kitty Glitter
– Kinder
– Jawbreakers
– Kinder
– Super Disco Club
– Ellen Reed
– Sellma Soul
– And more!
There will also be mega drag by DJ Dolly Llama, Vollie & Friends, Coast to Coast Drag Bingo and Cult Burlesque.
Closing down an inner-city street outside The Wickham Hotel for its main stage, Big Gay Day has evolved into one of Brisbane’s biggest street parties.
This celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community also supports local charities, with a portion of the proceeds from the event benefiting Diverse Voices and 2Spirits.
“We are so proud of this fabulous celebration,” said Owen Bevan, Australian Venue Co Area Manager. “The Big Gay Event is not only a day for the LGBTQIA+ and wider community to come together and enjoy amazing acts onstage and in The Wickham Hotel, but we raise tens of thousands of dollars for charities that really make a difference.”
