After extensive renovations, the venue now offers a modern dining experience, a revamped beer garden, a huge kids’ playground, and versatile spaces perfect for family fun and special events.
With a refreshed dining experience with approachable new menu, a revitalised beer garden and extended pavilion, a brand-new huge kids’ playground and refreshed gaming room, the venue is ready to welcome locals and visitors alike for every occasion.
“We’re so excited to be fully re-opening the new-look Mick O’Shea’s to locals,” says Venue Manager Michael Davey. “Our vision was to create a place where everyone feels welcome, whether it’s a family lunch in the bistro, a night out with friends, or an afternoon of live sport in the beer garden – we are opening in time for the AFL Grand Final after all! The buzz from the community has been incredible.”
Inside, the refreshed bistro serves up a convivial and contemporary feel to dining, paired with a menu designed to be approachable, shareable, and perfect for casual catch-ups. Modern pub classics like schnitzels, steaks, and burgers remain at the heart of the offering, alongside smaller bites and share plates built for grazing.
Menu highlights include Battered Zucchini Flowers (with fennel & apple slaw, candy balsamic), Lemon Peppered Squid (citrus aioli), Beef & Guinness Pie (with chips, salad and relish), Lamb Rump (served medium with crushed potato, chargrilled broccolini, shiraz jus), Beef & Bacon Burger (milk bun, tomato, lettuce, cheese, pickles, aioli, relish, chips) and Spiced Vegetable Tagine (roasted root vegetables, chickpeas, Turkish apricots, harissa, mint, labneh).
The crown jewel is the epic new beer garden with something for everyone. With a new stage for live music sessions and lawn events, 85” screens for sports viewing, and a large kids’ playground that will keep the kids entertained while parents relax, the beer garden offers locals an oasis to enjoy all year round. Add to that the expanded Pavilion function room, which is now double its original footprint but with the ability to configure into multiple sizes and a new bar, the pub is ideal for all types of events.
To celebrate the renovations, the pub will host a Locals Launch Weekend 10th – 12th October in the new beer garden, featuring live music, giveaways, competitions, and free kids’ entertainment which will include an appearance by a popular blue cartoon dog.

- Monday – Friday: $20 lunch menu

- Wednesdays: $20 Schnitzel Night from 5pm
- Thursdays:
- $25 Steak Night from 5pm
- Trivia from 7pm (registration 6.30pm)
- Saturdays: Live band from 9pm
- Sundays:
- Free kids’ entertainment from 12pm
- Live acoustic music from 3pm
- $15 Spritz Hour from 2pm
In addition to the pub, the 12 existing accommodation rooms have also had a refresh, ideal for travelling guests attending events at the venue.
“Mick O’Shea’s has always been about good food, cold drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere,” Michael Davey adds. “These renovations have given the pub a modern edge while staying true to its roots. It’s the same Mick O’Shea’s our locals know and love, only better.”
