UGO Cucina Popolare opens Fitzroy cafe pop-up for spring/summer! Located at the upcoming Fabbrica development, UGO will be ensuring that locals can get amazing coffee and simple Italian food done great every Friday – Sunday.
UGO, from the Cannoleria team, has its popular original outpost in Heidelberg West and the cafe is known for its amazing paninis, great coffee and, of course, Cannoleria cannoli.
UGO Cucina Popolare Opens Fitzroy Cafe
At UGO Fitzroy, guests can enjoy the signature slow-cooked porchetta panini from 11am, which is available in five varieties, each served in unique focaccia including cocoa, semolina, spelt, potato and onion by No Time For Grace:
- The OG – porchetta and semolina focaccia
- UGO – porchetta, giardiniera, salsa verde, spelt focaccia
- Elvis – porchetta, capsicum & lemon, caciocavallo and potato focaccia
- Calboni – porchetta, broadbeans, mint, coca focaccia
- Filini – porchetta, brussel sprout spread, mustard dressing, onion focaccia
Vegetarians are not forgotten with the Vego panini with eggplant caponata, burrata and barese focaccia.
Those looking for the perfect start to the day can savour a selection of breakfast dishes until 12noon and there’s the option to add Porchetta and/or burrata to each:
- Mast – waffle, porchetta, pecorino, honey
- McUGO – English muffin, sausage, burrata
- UOVO – bagel, egg, avocado, pickled onion
For the sweet toothed, the desserts are a must! Cannoleria cannoli is served freshly piped alongside Biscotti Della Nonna and Ciambellone Sponge Cake.
