Hotel Esplanade (The Espy) is getting into the spirit of Pride ‘23 by hosting a Post Parade Party at the iconic St Kilda pub on Sunday 5th of February from noon until late.

The Pride after-party will be free to enter all day and will boast over-the-top themed decor, including an Instagrammable photo op with wings, rainbow lighting on the building, fabric drapes, flower displays and rainbow decals. Not to mention, there’ll be more music and entertainment than guests can shake a glitter stick at, so the dancing and frivolities will carry on all day and night. 

There will be a very special Espy staircase performance from Sunshine Disco Faith Choir. Roving performers will add to the Pride vibe and a who’s who of Melbourne’s queer dance community will play across three rooms including Jason Conti, Butch Le Butch, Gavin Campbell¸ Jake Judd, Hip Hop Hoe, Sugar Plump Fairy, Onyx, Juicy Fruit, Cushen and EMMYK & Tilly. 

Meanwhile HONCHO DISKO will be taking the reins in the Gershwin room and guests will enjoy entertainment featuring fierce drag performances and DJs from across the country and around the globe, including a stellar, special guest performance from disco legend DJ Severino – direct from The Eagle in London.

Thirst-quenching Rainbow Slushies will be available for $18 on the day, with $2 from each and every slushie sold being donated to the pub’s neighbours at The Victoria Pride Centre. The final tally will then be matched by The Espy. Rainbow slushies will be flowing on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of February to give those who can’t make the after-party a chance to be involved in the donation.

For those looking for a delicious bite The Espy’s menu will be on offer with dishes including Espy Battered Fish + chips w.slaw, tartare sauce + lemon, Chilli Spanner Crab Spaghetti, Espy Seafood Platter for 2, Rotisserie Chicken, Espy Caesar Salad w. cos lettuce, parmesan, bacon + croutons.
