Waterford’s favourite local pub, Fitzy’s Waterford, is officially re-open. The full-scale renovation transforms it into one of Logan’s most dynamic and family-friendly venues.
The makeover spans every corner of the popular pub, now featuring a revamped sports bar with an 8-metre mega screen, a brand-new all-weather terrace, a purpose-built kids’ playground, and a fresh bistro menu designed to keep every member of the family happy.
To celebrate the re-opening, Fitzy’s Waterford will host an exciting Locals Weekend from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd March, a three-day community celebration with live music, free kids’ activities, snow cone station, putt for a pint, merch giveaway and more. Guests who are members of The Pass app will score double points across the weekend, with one lucky winner taking home a brand-new BBQ. Entry is free, and all are welcome.
“Fitzy’s Waterford is now a place for everyone, and we can’t wait to welcome locals, both old and new, through the doors,” said Venue Manager Dave Pull. “Our bistro refresh has cemented the venue as a modern, family friendly pub, with a dining space that’s perfect for all occasions and all ages.”
Sports fans can expect an upgrade, with the new sports bar centred around a feature bar and an impressive 8-metre mega screen, delivering a stadium-style viewing experience for everything from footy to cricket, basketball to UFC.
A few steps up from the bistro, the elevated terrace extends the dining space outdoors and features its own 3-metre big screen, allowing guests to enjoy the action while soaking up the alfresco atmosphere.
“We are so excited for people to enjoy the new terrace area that has created a new outdoor zone. It has complete weather protection so everyone can make the most of it for sports action and laidback drinking & dining all-year-round. It overlooks the brand-new kids’ playground so parents can relax while the kids have fun. The deck will also host live music sessions from Friday to Sunday, with free kids’ entertainment every Sunday,” said Pull.
The menu delivers pub classic favourites done right. It reflects the fresh and modern vibe of the venue, but with a nod to the history of the well-loved local. Fitzy’s is set to become a destination for dishes including Classic Golden Schnitzel, eight Parmy variations, Burgers and Steaks grilled to perfection. Seasonal flavours will also feature throughout the year, ensuring there’s always something new for locals to enjoy.
Share-style options such as Nachos, Pork Riblets, Haloumi Fries and Salt & Pepper Calamari are perfect for groups. While dessert lovers can indulge in Chocolate Brownie, Pancake Mountain and Tropical Pavlova alongside playful additions like Fairy Bread Fries and Snickers Spring Rolls.
