This means that diners won’t have to wait until summer to experience the two-level floating venue on the Yarra – they can order delicious Victorian beverages and locally-sourced produce whatever the season!
Throughout these colder months the venue is draped in gorgeous winter florals, with awnings and heaters helping to shield diners from the wintry chill. Rugs and blankets will be on hand to keep punters feeling cosy and warm during their visit, whilst taking in the stunning cityscape backdrop.
Yarra Botanica has also released a new winter menu, featuring comforting hot bites using local produce such as Victorian Seafood Vol au Vent (Port Arlington hot smoked Barramundi, Murray Cod, mussel, lemon aspen cream, puff pastry) and signature dish Truffle Baked Brie (made using Yarra Valley and WA truffles, Gippsland baked creamy brie, Bad Bees honey, 90-hour sourdough bread wreath).
For diners looking to tuck into something a little more substantial, Yarra Botanica’s 90-hour Sourdough Pizza selection will be sure to entice hungry mouths. Made using Australian stoneground flour and pink river salt from Mount Zero, each pizza comes topped with quality That’s Amore soft cheese, meats from Salt Kitchen and plenty of fresh Victorian vegetables.
And Yarra Botanica hasn’t forgotten about Melbourne’s grazing foodies, with three metre-long grazing boards available on the menu and showcasing the best local cheeses, Victorian seafood and charcuterie.
Workers looking to quench their thirst after knock-off will love the extensive list of 100% Victorian classic and signature cocktails, beer, mocktails and wine available each day, as well as toasty beverages such as Yarra Botanica’s Mulled Cider and Apple Cider Hot Toddy.
Plus, everyone will be entertained with music from live acoustics to rotating DJs Thursday to Sunday. (Thurs/Fri 6pm until late and Sat/Sun 4pm until late).
The Southbank pontoon bar and eatery, from Melbourne-based hospitality group Australian Venue Co, opened in March this year, and has been a popular destination for Melburnians and tourists ever since.
